This is a great announcement for Chesapeake, Hampton Roads, and the offshore Wind Industry.  What started as a GO Virginia Per Capita Grant for $530K, turned into a $681M investment for the region!  Thank you to the Hampton Roads Alliance for seeing this process through to a positive solution.

LS GreenLink, a subsidiary of LS Cable & System of South Korea, selected a 98-acre brownfield site in Chesapeake for its new state-of-the-art submarine power cable manufacturing facility. This strategically located site along the Elizabeth River will enhance LS GreenLink’s ability to meet global demand for submarine power cables. LS GreenLink will invest nearly $681 million dollars and create 330 full time high wage jobs.
