Norfolk, VA — 757 Collab, in partnership with NavalX Mid-Atlantic Tech Bridge, proudly announces the launch of the Defense Technology Accelerator (DTA)—an 11-week hybrid program designed to help early-stage companies break into the Department of Defense ecosystem. The inaugural accelerator officially kicks off August 25–29, 2025 in Norfolk, VA, with several events open to the public.

DTA prepares selected companies to engage with government stakeholders, navigate federal procurement pathways, and align their dual-use technologies with high-priority defense needs. The program received over 150 international and national applications and is selecting 10–12 high-potential startups, each receiving $10,000 to support their participation. The highly anticipated cohort will be announced by the end of July.

Companies will focus on six critical technology areas identified by local Naval Commands.
The in-person kickoff week includes keynotes from DoD stakeholders and local economic development partners, technical panels, and mentor engagements for the selected companies, along with a public event titled “Meet the Cohort” which features a pitch showcase and reception.

Final demonstrations will be held the week of November 4th in Norfolk, VA for companies to showcase their technologies, more details to follow. This will also be open to the public.
